About the Author:
Mary Contini grew up in a family of 8 children above a fabulous ice cream shop and ever since has loved food of every kind. She is a partner in the famous family run Italian delicatessen, Valvona & Crolla, in Edinburgh. She also writes a column for the Scotsman and runs cookery demonstrations in the shop. Mary, as an avid campaigner for improvement in children’s diet, is helping to spearhead the "Focus on Food" campaign in her native Scotland. Pru Irvine is a writer, working mostly for the UK national press. She also runs bread and pizza-making courses for primary-school children.
