The Incredible Discovery of Noah's Ark - Softcover

About the first half of this well-written popular account interweaves an imaginative retelling of the "flood" story with the authors' version of archaeology, geology presented as resulting from the flood, and ark design. The primacy and accuracy of a literal interpretation of the Genesis flood story is its unspoken first premise. There is also an extensive history of reported sightings of the ark, from pre-Christian to recent times. Unfortunately, this book is typical of the genre written from the "Creation Science" point of view. The authors claim that the paucity of hard evidence is mainly due to conspiracies of scientists, unnamed ruffians, and governments that refuse to allow anyone access to it. Most of the scientific work has been done by Creation Science people, and little mention is made of the standard geological alternative to "flood geology." There will be a heavy demand for this book from those committed to Creation Science and those not trained in normal archaeology and geology, but any library purchasing it should make certain they have works of established scholars to balance it (e.g., Lloyd R.
