The Peoples of the Bible - Softcover

What this book is meant to be is a relatively brief, companion reader to a Bible study class that provides some useful material about the Peoples of the Bible and their cultures. In this regard, I have started with the Sumerians, the people of Abraham, and then proceeded chronologically through the Old and New Testaments. What it is NOT is a comprehensive, scientific treatise on the archeology and historicity of the Bible. I am frequently asked the question, “Is the Bible true?” My consistent reply has always been that at the end of the day, a person’s belief in the Bible will always be a matter of personal faith; science cannot “prove” every detail provided in every book of the Old and New Testaments. However, what can be said is that an amazing number of new discoveries are being made almost daily and many tend to strongly support the narrative of the Bible. It is sincerely hoped that this book will, in some small part, bring to life the ancient Peoples of the Bible. If, after reading this book, the information included causes you to think differently about these ancient peoples when you read or hear the scripture, then I have accomplished my primary objective.
