Tasting in Living Things (Senses)

Kindergarten-Grade 2-These basic overviews provide limited information in an appealing format. Hearing includes facts on animals, such as bats, frogs, insects, owls, and elephants as well as on humans, answering questions like "How Do You Hear?" and "How Do Animals Use Hearing?" Tasting addresses similar issues about this sense. Both titles feature large, crisp, color photographs of children and animals. Interesting tidbits, such as the fact that some insects taste with their feet, are also included. Each spread presents a query with a simple answer that may generate more questions. A few easy activities or experiments are suggested. The concepts, illustrations, and layouts of these titles are appropriate for the intended audience.
