From School Library Journal:
Grade 3-5?Safety, simplicity, and colorful graphics make this an appealing, eclectic assortment of party crafts for birthdays, Christmas, Halloween, and general occasions. Projects range from favors and decorations to sandwiches and "witch's brew." Each one is presented in a well-designed two-page spread. A list of supplies and step-by-step written and illustrated instructions accompany each activity. The items are readily available at most craft or grocery stores. The directions are straightforward and easily followed. "Saftey First" is emphasized in the introduction as well as with every project that requires potentially hazardous implements or materials. A brief list of party games, several pages of patterns, and an index are included. A good choice for most collections.?Rosalyn Pierini, San Luis Obispo City-County Library, CA

From Booklist:
Gr. 2^-5. Although intended for younger children who want to create the favors, decorations, foods, and games for their own parties, this book will also be valuable for caregivers, teenage baby-sitters, and adults who need interesting craft and party ideas to use with children. The authors provide patterns and clear, step-by-step instructions for all the make-it-yourself projects, and large, full-color drawings and photographs show the process as well as the finished product. Safety tips are included as necessary, as well as in the introduction. Chris Sherman
