First Edition
Softcover. Condition: Very good. First Edition (?). 12mo, 46pp. A very good copy in the publisher's printed wraps. Small chip to the top of the front wrap with no loss to text/design; lightly creased along the extremities, and with minor stains to the wraps, but overall a clean, intact copy. Not an especially scarce volume, although the only copies we found in commerce were in a hardcover issue. This volume, whose front wrap indicates it as being part of the "Elzevir Library," is dated 1887 on the title page, but Nov. 27, 1886 on the front wrap, as a periodical (with "241 Vol. V" appearing just above that date). A curious item, possibly (though not necessarily) preceding the hardcover issue. The single accession number in Worldcat does not shed light on how many institutional copies are in hardcover, and how many are in wraps.
