Pages very good, lightly tanned with light creasing. Former Imperial College London copy with the following marks: 2 stamps (over-stamped "Withdrawn") to cover and title, and barcode to front. LRDG founder and Libyan Sands author Ralph Bagnold was closely associated with Imperial. His research there from 1935 culminated in his "Physics of Blown Sand and Desert Dunes" (1941). He then studied the transport of solids by water, working closely with the US Geological Survey, to which this work relates. He was elected a Fellow of Imperial in 1971.
