Condition: Antiquarian. Eyre & Spottiswoode, London, 1965. 336p. Cloth with dust wrps. Dust wrps bit worn. Singature and initial's stamp on free endpaper. 'The book should appeal alike to the classical scholar, to the student of military history, and - probably the vast majority of his readers - to those whose knowledge of Julius Caesar is limited to the hours they spent on a hard bench at school (.). As always, General Fuller is at once readable in his style, informative in his matter, and unconventional in his views: it would not be surprising if this proved to be Caesar's definitive biography.' (CHARLES PETRIE in The Illustrated London News, July 10, 1965). Antiquarian.

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. A fine+ bright copy of the second impression which is signed by the author's younger brother, Lionel, in blue pen and reads: "This is John's last book, he must have written it when he was 85, a great age to write a book of this nature, Lionel Fuller" Presumably therefore the book was published postumously. The book is bound in fresh looking blue cloth boards which have crisp gilt title lettering to the spine. The pages are lovely and clean throughout. The dust jacket is not price clipped and is in bright, unfaded condition. JFC (Boney) Fuller is included in Mark Urban's book, "Generals: Ten British Commanders Who Shaped the World" Some accolade indeed. A wonderful and unique copy. NB.there is an incentive price for the whole collection, of over 40 books, of £30,000. Included would be this book plus all other signed and inscribed volumes, together with many association copies. Pls contact to discuss.
